Visiting the website
This website’s code does not include analytics, advertising, tracking cookies, embedded social feeds or a contact form. The site’s code does not store information in your browser. Fonts, images, styles and scripts are served with the website rather than loaded from third-party libraries.
The hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and request information to deliver and protect the website. That processing is separate from analytics or advertising. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for information about its handling of website visitor data.
Email enquiries
Clicking an email link asks your device to open your email application. The website itself does not send a message. If you choose to send one, I receive your email address and whatever information you include, such as your name, enquiry and attachments.
I use the information you choose to send to respond to your enquiry and handle the conversation that follows.
The business uses Gmail, provided by Google. Messages are handled and stored through that service. See Google’s privacy policy for information about its services, including international processing.
Keeping information
Information you send by email may remain in the business mailbox and in the related correspondence. You can contact me to ask what information I hold about you, how it is being used, or to request its deletion.
Your questions and rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, to restrict or object to its use, and to request a portable copy. These rights are subject to conditions and exceptions.
To raise a concern or make a request, email johnmbsoftware@gmail.com. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
